Camtec Leaders
Paul Chua - Managing Director
Paul Chua, the founder and proud co-owner (together with Jessica), is the managing director of Camtec. Bringing with him 35 years of entrepreneurial skills and sales and marketing experiences in the retail and kids industries, Paul has the right skill sets to guide and lead the company to become an international organisation.
By 1992, the Sales and Marketing graduate from the Marketing Institute of Singapore decided to venture into the toys distribution business and hence the incorporation of Camtec Marketing Services Pte Ltd. With an established distribution network in Singapore and Malaysia, backed by a dedicated and committed team, Camtec has since evolved to become a leader in the distribution of branded toys with portfolio ranging from premium bicycles to toys, crafts and much more.
Paul served as a Marketing Officer with Dunlop Sdn Bhd in 1983. He was involved in sales and marketing related activities and organised workshops for national sports competitions (i.e. tennis, squash and golf national tournaments). His next role with Timestar Marketing Pte Ltd contributed to the pioneer launch and introduction of Swatch watches in Singapore. Post Timestar, Paul continued to become the Assistant Sales Manager of YGM Pte Ltd, where he was in charge of the sales, marketing and distribution of men’s apparel covering brands such as Daniel Hechter and Valentino. Paul later on took up the opportunity of becoming the Sales Manager of The Sports Express Pte Ltd where he oversaw the sales and marketing activities of street wear and mountain bikes across the South East Asia market.
Jessica Tang - Sales & Marketing Director
Being in the retail and distribution business for 25 years, Jessica plays a prominent role in Camtec as the Sales and Marketing Director. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Public Relations from Curtin University (Western Australia) and having the experience of dealing with international brands, Jessica is an expert in the field of sales and marketing.
Since 1997, Jessica contributes as the Sales and Marketing Director of Camtec Marketing Services Pte Ltd by handling all public relations and marketing activities. Together with her husband, Paul, Camtec grew from a humble company of only 2 headcounts to a dynamic team of 30 staff. Throughout her years at Camtec, Jessica has successfully conducted marketing campaigns which received positive media and public attention. Some of these include the promotion of the bicycle brand ‘Specialised’ (performed by BMX riding sensation Allan Cooke) and the ‘Brain Twist Challenge’ to promote an IQ puzzle.
In her early years before Camtec, Jessica joined Suetna Marketing as a Sales Executive where she handled brands such as Hermes and Jean Paul Gaultier, and later on joined Pacodis Pte Ltd as a Brand Executive which represents the brand United Colours of Benetton. Years later, Jessica was stationed in France, seconded to Arco International (one of the manufacturing arms of Louis Vuitton), to develop and launch a lipstick and nail polish line. Later on, Jessica joined Bluebell Enterprise Pte Ltd as a Sales and Marketing Manager which was the distributor for Givenchy and Paco Robanne.
Being exposed to the French culture and fashion industry, also having worked with international cosmetic brands, Jessica found it in her DNA to create, develop and globally launch C’est Moi, the world’s first Professional Skincare and Performance Makeup specially formulated for Kids 4 – 12 years.
